aptiQ™ Multi-technology Readers are designed to simplify your access control solutions now and for the future.  Transition your system from magnetic stripe or proximity to smart card technology at your own pace without changing out readers down the road.  One sleek reader handles applicable ISO standards (14443A, 14443B, 15693), is FIPS 201-1 compliant, and is versatile enough to read 125 kHz proximity and 13.56 MHz contactless smart cards in a single unit.

Multi-technology magnetic stripe readers are also available, reading magnetic stripe, proximity, and smart technology in one unit. aptiQ Multi-technology Readers interface with magnetic stripe cards, proximity cards, MIFARE® Classic smart-cards, ultra-secure MIFARE DESFire™ EV1 credentials, and can read the card serial numbers of a variety of smart cards from other manufacturers. aptiQ multi-technology readers make your next upgrade in technology simple and seamless. 

Additionally, aptiQ readers are NFC-compatible and able to communicate with NFC-enabled phones whenever you’re ready to take that step.
