NACCU 2021 Annual Conference: What to expect and tips for a great experience

Published April 2021

The NACCU Annual Conference is back April 19-21 and Allegion is excited to be part of the show virtually. We hope to connect with you at the booth, during our education session or at the live “Ask the Expert” session. And make sure to check out our tips for the conference.

If you’re unable to make it this year, don’t worry. There are many ways to stay up-to-date.

  1. Visit Allegion’s higher education hub, allegionmobilecampus.com. Here you will find a variety of educational resources—from infographics to webinars and more.

  2. Follow Allegion US on Twitter and LinkedIn for updates and new resources.

  3. Watch Jeff Koziol’s sneak peek of what to expect during the show.

We had a chance to chat with Jeff Koziol before the NACCU annual conference. We asked him about what excites him most about this year’s digital event, what trends he sees making the biggest impact this year and more. Find out what he had to say in this video.

For those attending NACCU 2021:

Let's connect

Allegion will have a booth in the virtual expo hall where you can talk with our higher education consultants. They’re knowledgeable on new credential technologies, interoperability and more. All you have to do is guide your avatar into our booth and our experts will be ready to chat.

Get your questions ready. Jeff Koziol, higher education sales leader at Allegion, will be joined by Mark McKenna from University of Vermont and Ken Boyer from Mercer University for a live “Ask the Expert” session at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, April 20. Ask them anything!

Connect with Allegion’s higher education alliances. See more information about them below.

Educational opportunities for you

You’ll hear from your peers Mike Henderson, University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and Mike Hovestol, University of Notre Dame, during Allegion’s education session at 12:45 p.m. on Wednesday, April 21. They are joining Koziol to explain how universities can take greater control of their future and the value of owning their campus credentials. Allegion’s booth is filled with interactive learning opportunities. Take the pop quiz then click around to find tips for choosing new campus credentials and answers to common questions about mobile student IDs.

How to make the most of the show

  • Be present. If you attempt to multitask, you won’t get the full experience of the virtual show. Normally, you’re in the same room as the presenter so it’s easy to focus. To keep your attention on the education sessions, try turning off your phone and desktop notifications.
  • Be prepared. Review schedules ahead of time and plan your day. Choose sessions wisely. Pick new topics. Are you looking to expand in a specific area? See if someone is speaking on that subject. And get familiar with the platform before you’re in the thick of it to avoid any confusion or technology issues.
  • Network. Update your profiles with as much information as possible. Find ways to chat with other attendees or connect with them on LinkedIn during or after the show. Did you hear from a peer? Follow up using the NACCU directory.
