One of the biggest challenges that schools have is finding funding to support all of their educational programs, salaries, extra curricular programs, and facilities maintenance, including security and safety.

This page provides some of the funding sources that can be used to secure schools.

Formula Grants

Issued by the Department of Education, Office of Safe and Healthy Students, these funds are issued to schools on an annual basis. Some of these grants that can be used for physical security include:

Title I, Part A – Improving Basic Programs
Title IV, Part A - Student Support and Academic Enrichment Program (SSAE)
Individuals with Disabilities Education (IDEA) Act Program
